Judgments and Decisions of International Administrative Tribunals
The judgments, decisions, and orders accessible through this platform are official acts of international administrative tribunals constituted by statute of their respective international organizations (ILOAT, UNAT, UNDT, WBAT, TRIBAD, and others). As acts of a jurisdictional nature issued by public organs of supranational administrations, they fall within the scope of Article 2(4) of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, which leaves to each Contracting State the determination of the legal regime applicable to official texts of a legislative, administrative, and legal character.
IAT Search operates under Italian jurisdiction. Italian Law No. 633 of 22 April 1941 ("Legge sul diritto d'autore"), at Article 5, expressly excludes from copyright protection
"the texts of official acts of the State and of Public Administrations, whether Italian or foreign",
a provision which Italian case law has consistently interpreted in a broad sense, extending its scope to reproductions of such acts.

Nature of the Service
IAT Search is a search, retrieval, and analytical platform. It does not operate as a redistribution of any official database, nor as a substitute for the institutional repositories maintained by the respective tribunals. The service provides transformative functionalities — semantic search, contextual retrieval, doctrinal mapping, and AI-assisted analysis — designed to support the practice of international administrative law by practitioners, scholars, and legal offices.
For each judgment, IAT Search preserves full traceability to the original source. Users are encouraged to consult the official repositories of each tribunal for authoritative versions and for any purpose where the official character of the text is material.

Where reference is made to materials authored by the tribunals themselves or by their secretariats (such as official headnotes or institutional case digests), such reference is limited and is provided with explicit attribution to the originating institution.
Trademarks and Institutional Identifiers
The names, acronyms, and emblems of the international organizations and tribunals referenced in IAT Search are used solely for identification and reference purposes. IAT Search is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these organizations or tribunals.
