IAT Search — Cookie Policy

Effective date: 14 May 2026  ·  Last updated: 14 May 2026  ·  Version 1.2

This Cookie Policy explains how IAT Search (admintribunals.com) uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites function correctly and to provide information to the site operator. Cookies do not execute code and cannot carry viruses.

2. Cookies We Use

IAT Search uses a minimal number of cookies — only those strictly necessary for the Service to function and one functional cookie to improve your experience. We do not use advertising, profiling, or third-party tracking cookies.

Name Type Purpose Duration Legal basis
auth_token Essential — HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict Maintains your authenticated session after login. This cookie is transmitted only over HTTPS and cannot be read by JavaScript code running in the browser. Without it, the Service cannot verify your identity and login would be impossible. Session (deleted on logout or after 2 hours of inactivity) Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — necessary for the performance of the contract. Consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies under the ePrivacy Directive.
oauth_state Essential — HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax Set only when you initiate a sign-in attempt with Google or LinkedIn. Stores a CSRF anti-forgery token (random string) used to validate the callback returned by the identity provider. Prevents login-CSRF attacks. Not used for any tracking or analytics purpose. Deleted as soon as the sign-in flow completes (success or failure) or when it expires. 10 minutes (auto-expires) Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — necessary for the performance of the authentication step you initiated. Consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies under the ePrivacy Directive.
cookies_accepted Functional Records that you have acknowledged the cookie notice, so it is not displayed on subsequent visits. Stores no personal data beyond a boolean flag. 1 year from acceptance Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in not repeatedly presenting the same notice.
No third-party cookies. No advertising networks, social media platforms, analytics services, or other third parties place cookies on your device through this Service. The cookies listed above are set exclusively by admintribunals.com.

3. What We Do Not Use

The following technologies are not used on this Service:

4. Managing and Deleting Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view the cookies stored for a specific site, block cookies from specific sites, or delete all cookies. The relevant settings are usually found under Privacy, Security, or Advanced settings.

Please note that deleting the auth_token cookie will log you out of the Service immediately. Deleting cookies_accepted will cause the cookie notice to reappear on your next visit.
